Kansas v Michigan State – 7:00 PM

Two historic programs are set to tip on College Basketball’s opening night. Preseason #1 Kansas, led by Legarld Vick, are eager to show the county that this Kansas team is capable of cutting down the nets. With Tom Izzo at the helm, Michigan State can never be counted out. Michigan State will be looking for an early season marquee win to add to their resume.

Prediction: Kansas over Michigan State

Duke v Kentucky – 9:30 PM

Two blue bloods meet on opening night. This promises to be an early season classic. Although Zion Williamson will only be around for a year, he is hoping that it will be a championship year. This Duke team is certainly capable of winning it all.  However, Kentucky, and its roster filled with youth, appears ready for the challenge. As with most Calipari teams, Kentucky’s best basketball will be played in March not November.

Buffalo v West Virginia – 9:00 PM

In what bracket prediction sees as a potential early-season upset, Buffalo looks to build upon its past March success with a win against a very strong West Virginia team. Bob Huggins will have to have his players ready to go in their season opener to avoid the upset.

Prediction: West Virginia over Buffalo (Barely)

Auburn v Washington – 9:30 PM

This matchup sees two teams who will be eager to get a quality win early in the season. A win by either team can help with seeding come March.

UPSET ALERT

Florida v. Florida State

Florida State should be in for a very good year and possibly a second weekend team. However, its instate rival the Florida Gators are loaded with young talent and will come out of the gate hot. Florida gets an early season resume builder.
